Cleckheaton Extra Care Home

Cleckheaton Extra Care Home, it is a project mentioned many times on my personal/life side of social media. It is a project that was clearly passed due to quote “Brown Envelopes ✉️” And when I say this I don’t mean it lightly it is clear that it was only passed because of this as anyone with any brain cells would not have passed this monstrosity.

This is a brief introduction to what has happened but there is lots that has happened since the project started last year, my first video on Elliot’s Life “Cleckheaton Extra Care Home Drone Shots I Elliot’s Life #1” in this first introduction episode I show the viewers who I might add were very few at the time what was going on at the site, this then became a major series & over time has become a fan favourite although it has always been the centre of some controversy on the local Facebook group “Cleckheaton Matters Group”

Building started around February 2024 and when they started there were around 50 TRUCKS! yes 50! coming on our tiny little road to deliver so-called “Hard-core” however in reality it looked like rocks and concrete and in general lets say “crap” from other building sites, it destroyed the once pretty open field into a muddy horrible wasteland, and at present we cannot see anything as it covers up the horizon does this monstrosity of a building or alleged “Extra Care Home” in reality Kier Starmer will probably end up putting migrants or something along the lines of this inside of here but I guess we will have to wait and see if this is the case. At present building is still underway and the roof is almost fully on and according to Robertsons (The ones building this thing) it should be completed by Summer 2026 so this hell we are having to live through should be over soon.

All in all it has ruined our lives and Kirklees Council do not seem to care, although I might add that recently a planning application was refused (must have not received their brown envelope stuffed full of money) 💰
